Freelance writer and KRVM volunteer Cynthia Orlando writes about the local music scene as well as new artists and musicians KRVM listeners might enjoy.
She grew up in southern California where her father taught music and both her parents were musicians. While attending college at Humboldt State University, Orlando wrote about music for entertainment publication "Northcoast View,” and later, for Portland's KINK-FM.
In addition to writing for KRVM she also currently writes for Portland Radio Project (PRP-FM) in Portland.
Orlando has also written for the Portland Tribune, Salem Statesman Journal, and many other Oregon newspapers on topics of forestry, tree care, and native plants.
