The best in funk — new skool, old skool, and nothin’ but funk.

What do we mean? Well, one show focused on classic funk: The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, and Stevie Wonder. Another was devoted entirely to Sly and the Family Stone. A third featured contemporary funk from Turquaz, the Pimps of Joytime, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, and the Motet. Or you might hear a blend of the new — Chromeo, Dopapod, Lettuce — and the classic — Al Jarreau, say, or Bill Withers, or Tower of Power.
