Update, April 1: Many thanks to the listeners that have called and said “thank you” for providing music 24/7 and community information during the COVID 19 virus situation. We are operating with limited staff and asking the volunteer DJs to stay home to help “flatten the curve”. Though we miss their presence both at the station, and on-the-air, we know it’s for the benefit of our volunteers, staff and the community to keep everyone safe and healthy.
We are actively looking for ways to have the volunteer DJs record their shows at home and submit them to the station for air. Jivin’ Johnny has done a wonderful job offering his services to cover some of the shows and Ed K., the host of Short Strange Trip, is now able to submit his show and a few others. We hope to be able to add other shows, as well.
Staff will be completing essential duties and then working from home whenever possible. If you need to reach someone at the station, please refer to our Contact page and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
If you are interested in more information regarding COVID 19, there are resources online to help guide you into making the best decisions for you and your family. The links to the websites are listed below.
March 18: As the world and our community react to the COVID 19 coronavirus outbreak, KRVM 91.9 will continue to work diligently to provide the music and entertainment you have come to enjoy and support. Some of our volunteer DJs may not be able to host their shows over the next few weeks but we are working on providing backup programming.
In addition, you may not hear the live interviews and bands that we regularly have on-air. For the health of everyone involved, we are practicing social distancing and will return to the live interviews and normal operations when it is safe for both our staff and guests.
This situation is evolving and we will continue to monitor it and adjust. Thank you for your continued patience and support. Stay healthy and enjoy listening to KRVM 91.9.
