Next Step Recycling is a Eugene nonprofit providing technology skills training to those with barriers to employment. When you donate electronic and technological equipment to Next Step, they repair the items and put them back into use in the community, reducing waste while providing employment opportunities. The nonprofit "Sponsors" in Lane County offers re-entry opportunities for people with conviction histories. Re-entry services include transitional and permanent housing, employment support, mentoring, and counseling. Sponsors is now seeking volunteers to act as mentors to persons re-entering the community. Easterseals of Oregon offers internships, job training, and coaching to eligible job seekers, as well as addressing language and literacy barriers to employment.
