Lane County will operate mobile crisis services effective Sunday, August 18th. Volunteering at United Way
United Way of Lane County offers many events where volunteers can help out nonprofits in the community, including environmental, gardening, housing, mental health, nutrition, and pet adoption agencies. City of Eugene survey
The City of Eugene is soliciting public comment regarding communication methods, community engagement, and proposed projects. The ten-minute anonymous survey has 3 sets of questions and can be accessed here.
Volunteer with elders
The nonprofit Lane County Senior and Disability Services is recruiting volunteers to deliver meals to homes, help with food preparation, provide rides, assist with monthly budgeting, or act as companions. Volunteer information and application HERE.

School Garden Project
The School Garden Project of Lane County assists schools with developing and maintaining onsite vegetable gardens where children can learn the basics of growing healthy food and become stewards of nature. CASA of Lane County
CASA of Lane County advocates for children who are in foster care due to abuse or neglect. Volunteers act as court-appointed advocates and provide academic support. Information HERE on volunteering and donating.
Community Supported Services
Community Supported Services provides micro shelters for unhoused persons within a supportive group environment, protects human rights, and strives to address the current lack of housing.
