Springfield Boards, Committees, and Commissions through 9/26

The City of Springfield is accepting applications to volunteer for several positions on boards, committees, and commissions.

Openings are on budget, police, library, planning, community development, history, arts, and bicycle and pedestrian safety committees. The Springfield City Council will interview applicants during scheduled work sessions in October.

These advisory bodies help to shape public policy, guide city initiatives, and include community and neighborhood perspectives in decision-making. Volunteers can gain experience in local government processes and connect with other civic-minded residents. Springfield welcomes applications from residents of all ages, backgrounds, and experiences.
