Homeless Persons’ Memorial 12/21
The Eugene Human Rights Commission is hosting a community candlelight vigil for National Homeless Persons’ Memorial Day on Sunday, December 21st from 5 to 7 pm at the Eugene Farmers Market Pavilion.
On the longest night of the year, this vigil honors and remembers members of our community who died while experiencing homelessness.
In addition to the memorial, there will be music, food, beverages, and resources.
Requested Donations
- Food: sandwiches, bread, cookies, pastries
- Beverages: hot coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider, water
- Resources: clothing, blankets, camping gear, Narcan, survival kits
Organizers are seeking community nonprofits interested in providing information and outreach during the resource fair (5 to 6 pm) and/or donating food, beverages, or resources.To participate as an organization, see HERE.
