Foster Families for Queer Teens

Oregon Community Programs is seeking foster families for LGBTQIA+ young teenagers, who are over-represented in the foster care system and who face unique vulnerability because of discrimination and rejection.
Applicant families must be able to provide affirming experiences to safeguard the health, safety, and well-being of queer youth, to help them develop the resilience needed for a successful adulthood.
Foster families receive round-the-clock support and continuous training, as well as respite services and a support network. The youth receive individual and family counseling, skills training, service coordination, and appropriate social activities.
