World AIDS Day 12/5

HIV Alliance is commemorating World AIDS Day at the Eugene Farmer’s Market Pavilion on Friday, December 5th, in partnership with the First Friday Art Walk.

A 5 pm reception is accompanied by artwork and quilts, and a presentation of HIV-related services and history. The HIV Alliance will recognize outstanding volunteers and lead a candlelight walk around the park blocks. The ceremony honors efforts to end the HIV pandemic, celebrate collective successes, and remember those lost to the illness.

The Roseburg World AIDS Day event is from 6 pm to 8 pm on Monday, December 1st,  at the Umpqua Unitarian Universalist Congregation. This gathering acknowledges the impact of HIV on the residents of Douglas County. Drinks, snacks, and entertainment will be provided.
