To quote T.S Elliot, “You are the music, while the music lasts”. We here at KRVM would like to ensure that the music, and those that love it, last as long as possible. We believe in the power of music to bring people together, and we value the Public Radio model of KRVM. We are committed to keeping the music you enjoy free from corporate influence.
Joining the KRVM Legacy Giving Program demonstrates that you hold these beliefs too, and are committed to helping us continue to “Make the world a better place, one song at a time” well into the future!
Legacy Giving gives you the peace of mind that the causes close to your heart continue to do good for others after you are gone. It also allows you to use your money more efficiently because you remove the income tax burden by naming a tax-exempt entity as the beneficiary of your tax-deferred accounts (bank, investment, or retirement accounts, life insurance policies, stocks and real estate deeds).
Our tax-exempt entity for Legacy Giving is: Friends of KRVM – A 501(c)(3) organization whose sole mission is supporting KRVM operations.
There are several ways to include Friends of KRVM in your estate planning.
Here are a few of the most popular:
- Designate Friends of KRVM as a Direct Beneficiary of your estate.
- Name Friends of KRVM in your Will or Trust.
- Designate Friends of KRVM as a Beneficiary of a Charitable Remainder Trust.
- Designate Friends of KRVM as a Beneficiary of a Charitable Lead Trust.
These options, and others, can be discussed with your personal estate planning team to determine what works best for you.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call Friends of KRVM President Paul Schwartzberg at 541-790-6681.
We look forward to fulfilling your final wishes to support KRVM and to keeping your memory alive in our music.
Thank you for your generosity, your love of this station, and your commitment to making the music last!
