AAA Format with 4J Student DJs
Progressive Adult Album Alternative (AAA) Radio.Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm
Hosted by Local Students
As part of Eugene School District 4J, KRVM is first and foremost an educational resource for Eugene-area high school students, where students from area schools learn radio broadcasting in a real-world environment.
At KRVM’s Main Studio, located at Sheldon High School, our professional Program Director selects a broad mix of Adult Album Alternative (AAA, or “Triple A”) music that appeals to our listening audience while satisfying both Federal Communications Commission and 4J policies for appropriate content.
Through classroom and on-air training, student DJs learn to deliver this pre-programmed musical mix, along with public service announcements, KRVM show promos, and some music they’ve chosen for their listeners.
